Veteran Jaguars shocked defending champions Genuine Parts World Tigers 3-2 in the latest round of matches for the 2015 Table Tennis National Premier League.

Faith Stanislaus from edged Teddy Matthews 3-2 in the first match, giving Tigers the advantage. But Vandyke Jude equalised the score, beating Franklin Noel 3-2.

Tigers then won the doubles 3-1.  But Matthews dug deep to beat Noel 3-0, levelling the scores again.

In the decisive match, the shrewd Stanislaus faced the defensive-minded Jude.

But it was Jude mixing chops and attacking strokes to take an early two-game lead. Faith, though, responded with back-to-back wins of his own.

In the end, however, it was Vandyke Jude and Veteran Jaguars coming away with the win.

CTSL Combined Schools fell to the Rex Resorts Eagles 4-1. Chris Wells from Eagles overwhelmed both Mario St Cyr and Sunil Chitole in straight sets. Celestin Samuel from Eagles whitewashed schoolboy Andrew Daniels 3-0.

The doubles event saw the students disarming  the Eagles to win 3-0. Celestin Samuel, though, put the icing on the cake when he defeated Mario St Cyr 3-1.
