St. Lucia’s famed Jade Mountain Resort located in Soufriere has bagged another regional award.
Readers of Islands Magazines have selected the resort as the ‘Caribbean’s best luxury resort’.
Jade Mountain amassed the majority of the votes, 31 percent, followed by Peter Island in the British Virgin Islands (26 percent), Four Seasons in Nevis (16 percent), Amanyara in Turks and Caicos Islands (15 percent) and The Caves in Jamaica (12 percent).
According to the magazine, more than 12,000 people participated in the Best of the Caribbean poll.
An article in the publication, defines the exclusivity of the resort as a luxury destination: “This isn’t your ‘room’ – it’s your sanctuary. Every one of them at Jade Mountain is unique, though all replace a fourth wall with an infinity pool to frame a sprawling view of St. Lucia’s Pitons. Even without a wall, your sanctuary feels secluded.
It added: “No fourth wall, no windows, no TV, no radio and no interior doors – not even to the bathroom. This is luxury? Oh, yeah!”
In other results Cayman Islands won best snorkeling; Jamaica: best island food; US Virgin Islands: best destination; and Aruba: best value resort.
