Management of Jade Mountain and Anse Chastanet resorts have expressed elation at the news of their establishments being rated as some of the top in the Caribbean and the world by Travel+Leisure magazine.

Jade Mountain, according to Travel+Leisure’s website, was voted Top Resort in the Caribbean, Bermuda and the Bahamas while Anse Chastanet came second. The two resorts also earned a place on the magazine’s World’s Top 100 Hotels round-up, with positions 14 and 21 respectively, out of the 52 listed.

In a press release, Karolin Troubetzkoy, executive director of marketing and operations at Jade Mountain and Anse Chastanet, said: “We are very grateful to work with resorts teams that so consistently deliver as can be seen by the many recognitions our resorts have enjoyed over the past years. You can set standards for a hotel operation, but the standards need to be carried out by a team that wholeheartedly embraces them and has the ambition to excel in everything they do. We do not only want to meet guest expectations, we want to exceed them every step of the way, and our teams share this philosophy.”

She and co-owner Nick Troubetzkoy are due to accept their Travel+Leisure Magazine’s World’s Best Awards in an upcoming awards celebration dinner in New York.

These awards have been announced every summer since 1995. The World’s Best Awards are derived from an annual reader survey which rates destinations and travel providers based on characteristics such as hotel rooms and facilities, location, service, restaurants, food and overall value, to find “the hotels that deliver the most extraordinary experiences”.

Travel + Leisure is a travel magazine based in New York which publishes 12 times a year and boasts of 4.8 million readers, according to its corporate media kit.

Ladera was also among the top resorts listed.
