Irvin Ace Loctar paid a visit to the Marigot School to give his professional perspective on music industry in Saint Lucia, as part of a class project for the students.
He spoke about influences that helped shape his journey and also let the students in on the many ways they too can be part of the music industry Saint Lucia
The students were very receptive. They asked questions and even offered to display their talents and share their dreams.
“When I was asked to come to the school to speak to the students, it was a no brainer; I am always willing to give back some knowledge and encouragement. I know these kids need heroes in their lives and I try to provide positive direction to their questions,” he said.
Some of the students indicated their intent to pursue music as a career, which made Ace a very happy camper. Ace previewed some of his work from his company Commercial Kings, a Jingle and commercial production business that he started last year.
He played a few commercials to which most of the students knew them word for word.
He also featured some songs produced from his Studio758 camp. This got a pleasant response as some students started asking about other artists that peaked their interests.
Ace hopes to Visit more schools in the near future to help encourage young individuals take advantage of the many opportunities that the music industry have to offer right here in Saint Lucia.
