Ashlee Martinson, 18, could receive a recommended 40-year prison sentence for her guilty plea — though she could have faced life behind bars if she’d taken the case to trial and lost, WHBL-AM reported

The troubled teen — known as “Vampchick” on her blog — pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree intentional homicide for the 2015 stabbing of her 40-year-old mother, Jennifer Ayers, and the shooting of her 37-year-old stepfather Thomas Ayers.

After she slaughtered her parents in their Piehl home, Martinson locked her three younger siblings in a room before fleeing to Indiana with her boyfriend.

Martinson told police that she suffered constant abuse at home, according toThe Independent. She claimed that one of her mother’s boyfriends burned her with a cigarette and raped her when she was 9.
