An unidentified motorist hit two cars before their Lexus was launched onto the roof after striking a vehicle in the neighbor’s driveway, Palos Verdes Estates Capt. Mark Velez told KTLA.
Authorities believe that the driver suffered a medical emergency that led to the strange turn of events in the quiet beach community around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
A woman who was inside the house escaped injury, while the driver was taken to a local hospital but not seriously hurt.
The Spanish-tiled roof of the garage where the car ended up perched was not high above street level, though Los Angeles County Fire Department workers used a crane to remove the luxury car.
