NEW YORK DAILY NEWS – A Bronx man on trial for murdering his own mother, before snapping a selfie with her severed head, coolly described hacking up her corpse.
“If you can kill somebody, you should be able to cut them up too,” Bahsid McLean told authorities after his arrest, according to a video played Wednesday in Bronx Supreme Court.
“If you can’t do that, if don’t have the stomach to cut them up, then you’re a coward.”
In the interview, McLean, now 26, claimed it was his friend, William Harris, who killed his mom Tanya Byrd inside their Morrisania apartment in Feb. 2013.
But the accused killer admitted that he did “all of the cutting” with a power saw inside his Westchester Ave. apartment.
