PRESS RELEASE – As part of the mandate to continue improving the level of service to its customers and to improve the ease of doing business with the department, the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has been hosting a series of stakeholder meetings.
To date, forums have been hosted for the various government ministries and yesterday met with tax practitioners.
Recently-appointed Comptroller of the Inland Revenue Department Sophia Henry explained: “The Department endeavours to modernise its tax administration as it moves towards a sustainable, well-functioning operation in line with good international practice. This will be achieved through increased collaboration with stakeholders. The forums have been very successful in allowing stakeholders to:

– Propose ways of improving our partnership.
