(PRESS RELEASE) – A Sitting of the House of Assembly is scheduled for Tuesday, October 31, 2017 with Papers to be laid and Bills to be presented by the Honourable Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Economic Growth, Job Creation, External Affairs and the Public Service, the Honourable Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister with the responsibility for Commerce, Industry, Investment, Enterprise Development and Consumer Affairs, the Honourable Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister with the responsibility for Tourism and Information and Broadcasting, and the Honourable Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries, Physical Planning, Natural Resources and Co-operatives.

The following Motions are down for consideration:

1.  Value Added Tax Act – Resolution of Parliament to approve draft Value Added Tax (Amendment of Schedule 3) Order

2.  Finance (Administration) Act – Resolution of Parliament to borrow for capital expenditure – Saint Lucia Disaster Vulnerability Reduction Project

3.  Finance (Administration) Act – Resolution of Parliament to borrow from 1st National Bank St. Lucia Limited for capital expenditure to finance the 2017/2018 Budget

4.  Finance (Administration) Act – Resolution of Parliament to borrow from the Bank of Saint Lucia Limited for capital expenditure to finance the 2017/2018 Budget

The Bills for consideration include the following:
Invest Saint Lucia (Amendment)
Income Tax (Amendment)
Land and House Tax (Amendment)
Airport Development

Tuesday’s Sitting is scheduled to commence at 10:00 a.m.

The Sitting of the Senate is scheduled for Wednesday, November 01st, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
