House of Assembly meets tomorrow

GIS –  A Sitting of the House of Assembly is scheduled for Tuesday, July 7 with Papers to be laid and Bills to be presented by the Hon. Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Economic Affairs, Planning and Social Security; the Hon. Minister for Commerce, Business Development, Investment and Consumer Affairs; and the Hon. Minister for Education, Human Resource Development and Labour.

The following motions are down for consideration: the Finance (Administration) Act – a resolution of Parliament authorising the Minister for Finance to guarantee borrowing by the Saint Lucia Development Bank; the National Savings and Development Bonds Act – a resolution of Parliament to raise funds via the issue of savings bonds; and the Finance (Administration) Act – a resolution of Parliament to guarantee the financing of the South Roads Rehabilitation Project (Banse to La Haut) and the Laborie Village Main Road Rehabilitation Project.

Bills for consideration include the International Business Companies (Amendment), the International Partnership (Amendment), the International Trust (Amendment), the International Bills (Amendment), the Treasury Bills (Amendment), the Companies bill (Amendment), and Offshore Higher Education Licensing and Incentives.

Alot should be discuss about the tourist industry where there are car rentals such as Ben and his crew in Etangs Soufriere ripping off tourist and locals alike when it comes to the sales of used cars and renting per say.That,should not be tolerated with our sensitive market.The tourism industry should research and discuss these issues in parliament.
