Homicide in Canaries: 24-year-old stabbed to death

(PRESS RELEASE) — On Monday, April 29, 2019 about 6:00 p.m. officers attached to the Canaries Police Station, responded to a report of a stabbing on Dix Street, Canaries.

Kadeem Joseph, a 24-year-old resident of Floravilla, Canaries, sustained a stab wound during an altercation with another male.

He was conveyed to the Soufriere Hospital, via ambulance, where he was pronounced dead by a medical practitioner upon arrival.

A post mortem examination is to be scheduled for a later date.

One individual is in police custody in relation to this incident.

    This is one of the reasons why a full fledged medical facility and fire service is needed in the communities of Anse LA Raye/Canaries. Victims have to wait for medical attention or otherwise when time is against them.
