High powered rifle found in Morne Du Don

ak47-wit-wooden-polymer-furnitureSt. Lucians are breathing a sigh of relief tonight after a deadly AK47 assault rifle was found by the police in Morne Du Don.

The discovery was made in an abandoned building earlier in the day.

Assault rifles typically carry greater penetrative power than regular firearms, they also carry a higher ammunition capacity and are capable of rapid fire.

The discovery of the weapon shows that criminals may well be armed enough to challenge the security forces if needs be.

  2. The rogues to watch are the ones with lots of money to invest for Citizenship.
An easy target to take over a vulnerable Country to hide loot for nefarious
purposes. Watch the issuance of Passports to the ones from the middle East,
suspects from Europe and Russia. The Customs are so porous, anything can
get through. ST.LUCIA, YOU ARE IN TROUBLE; WAKE UP, SEE WHO IS IN CHARGE.
In fact, let me ask; who the hell is in charge? Your only industry is in deep trouble.

  3. The criminals have always boasted that they have more high powered guns than the police and not to talk about more guns. Now face the facts, you send the police out on a mission, to look for criminals. The police encounter these criminals with such high powered rifles, what would you expect the police to do?

  4. what we need in St.Lucia is like the newly elected Philippine president Mr. Maverik.
He cleaned up the most dangerous town to the safest in the country when he was mayor. Now he promise to do so with the whole country.

  6. Police need 2 pickup vans to remove full rifles from Dennery Valley.

Be sure to walk with metal detectors and shovels. Lots of digging to do.

  7. To the police..

Operation Restore Confidence can be conducted without the killing of well known criminals, here is a suggestion:

Conduct more random searches among suspecting youth during peak times of the day. It takes a few steps alone in Castries to see what these kids are up to.

Random Routine Searches can also show the public you are trying to prevent crimes before they even happen...

Hopefully Mary Francis can see this as not a major threat to human rights.

  9. WTH!
How do those rifles get here? And from where?
Yet we had a "journalist" allegedly showcasing two ISIS aspiring militants on his TV Talk-show.
What is the purpose of those weapons here? Who are the suppliers.

    This island is already doomed!

    • Note to the ill inform comment ; An Ak 47 average length is 34.5 inches a small barrel is 36 inches from top to bottom a Jambo Barrel is 45 inches from top to bottom do the maths. maybe you will have to dismantle this weapon in inches to pass it in a barrel.

      (3)(0)

    • Way too many barrels are examined that's certainly not how these weapons come in... Try instead all those high-powered speed boats that drop drugs into Saint Lucia. But if you do a little research about our marine units you will discover that it's a huge weak point in terms of equipment and man power.

  11. Hint number one. Start demolition of all abandoned houses or buildings with no historic value will be refurbished. Those have been harbouring criminals for too long now. Put them out in the light where they'll eventually commit themselves
