PRESS RELEASE – The Ministry of Health has continued its public sensitization and outreach programmes to engender healthy lifestyles through early detection of health conditions and proper nutritional practices.
On Friday 1st August the Babonneau Wellness Centre organised a free family health fair for the community of Babonneau and environs. A multitude of services were offered to children, adults and the elderly including paediatric care, mental health, nutrition advice and men’s health among others.
Public Nursing Health Supervisor for the Babonneau Area, Juliet Amos Mondesir was pleased with the turnout particularly by the men who she says need to take their health care more seriously.
The health fair however had to be cut short due to the impending Tropical Storm Bertha.
