The remains found on the Fond D’or shore in Dennery. It is suspected to be that of a suspected drowning victim.

A post mortem examination conducted on a decomposed body discovered in Fond D’or, Dennery on Friday, Nov. 15 revealed that the body is that of a young male. Initially, investigators were unable to positively identify the sex of the remains.

The examination, which was conducted on Saturday, Nov. 15, also ruled out trauma.

Felix David also known as Ed or Eddie Boy.

A police source told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) that the body is suspected to be that of missing 19-year-old Felix ‘Ed’ David of Garrand, who  fell into the sea while fishing with four other males near at the Le Shalope Beach, near Grande Anse in Des Barras, Babonneau on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 6, 2014.

DNA from David’s relatives will now be compared with DNA from the remains to assist in the identification process.

A police source said the body found on the Fond D’or shore was missing parts of the torso, including the head, which was likely caused by wave action.

The source further described the remains as a “bulk of skeletal remains and flesh. The skin was totally white having lost its pigmentation.”

The decomposed body was found in a secluded area. Police had to gain access by using a fishing boat.

  1. It's freedom of speech, people have the right to assume, speculate, and say what they want. That's why it's called freedom of speech, it angers you so much when someone speaks their mind. You need to relax before you burst a vain in your head. Please stop putting your people down and say Lucian's are the worst set of people in the world. We are all different individuals and we all think differently. You sound silly to even say that when you're Lucian yourself. Please be mindful and stop putting your country down. You respect what people say even if you don't agree or think it makes sense. We are all different individuals who think differently and see things differently.

  3. They were not on a boat, no one from the babonneau areas is dumb enough to travel around grand anse on boat , the waves are quite high and they sea is rough , the neck is very fragile , the area from grand anse to louvette is very dangerous , waves fighting in all kind of directions , sharks and other predators roam those waters , if constant battering can break a canoe , why not the human body

  4. the boy went missing early november why would his head be missing? the tissue on his body will decompose but not the bones so quick. forensic can prove whether the head was severed from a sharp object or the water current. foul play must be involved.

  5. i hope the DNA does not take 6 months to complete just like the young guy whose DNA was completed not too long ago. It's time that St Lucia has its own system so it can be done quick in order for the family to get some form of closure. I never heard anything about the missing 7 year old boy. So sad.

    • if you're saying that st lucia doesn't have a DNA lab , it only obvious this will take time and money to have it done somewhere else.
and not only that , how many of our kids study and go away to study for this profession? the police can't do it .
we need to incourage our kids to work hard ,to learn a profession so we st lucia can have our own.

yes 6 months is a long time but what can you do .
let me know if you have any advise

  9. I truly believe if the police actually aided the family on finding his body they wud have more than just skeletons to bury and all the damn assumptions would be put to rest . i am definitely not aware that st Lucia has anyone who can examine skeletal remains to determine a cause of death...because they said it is believed that he lost his head because of the ocean . how about something a bit more accurate than hunches ... Anyway... Eddie boy u r missed dearly. That sweet quiet , respectful young man who always smiled . sigh god knows best lil bro.. Sleep in peace

  10. The water around that area is rough and it is also rocky so the marine vessel cannot venture into these parts as they would like.
