PRESS RELEASE – Parliamentary Representative for Gros Islet Emma Hippolyte has expressed concern over the discovery of three bodies in the space of three weeks in the northern constituency.

These discoveries, she says, has sent the community and by extension, the country into shock and mourning.

In a statement issued on Monday, April 28, 2014, the parliamentary representative says she is saddened by the recent developments and is hoping for a speedy resolution to these crimes.

Hippolyte said: “I wish to express my deepest condolences to the families who have had to deal with the unimaginable pain of losing a loved one under such tragic circumstances. I urge all to continue to pray for these families, so that they may find comfort in this difficult time.

The minister for national security has given me the assurance that the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is doing all in its power to solve these unexplained deaths. As parliamentary representative, I will continue to work with the Gros Islet Police to ensure that our community is safe. I urge anyone who has information on these three cases to report it to the police, as capturing the criminals will not only bring closure for the families, but it will also lead to a safer constituency.

Again, I extend my sympathies to the families and friends in this difficult time.”

HONOURABLE EMMA HIPPOLYTE
Parliamentary Representative for Gros Islet

  1. The problem in St . Lucia is....they do not respect poor people....even those people who falls within the cracks and need some form of Psychological Intervention.......Two dead bodies of ''Poor Black People'' they never came out to make a speech.... now you guys wanna come out make a speech and asking for speedy process......First I say to them;...Stop the Injustice and Inequality.......poor people which elected Politicians yet still they turn around and treat them like Dirt. ...

  2. Trick question. What is "within the power of the police force?"

Victor cannot even qualify as a constable farless a Minister of Justice. Is this what Justice represents in the country? when you tell people that "I don't have a form to file your report, wait 45 minutes then i'll take down the info". Not even suggesting that "hey i have a few bodies you may want to look at and in the meantime give me the details of his friends and associates so i could start looking for this kid". NOTHING!!! Guess what the Minister now offers her prayers and assures them that another idiot promised her that will do all in his powers to make some questionable others who neither have any equipment, finance nor forensic capabilities to capture the perpetrators of a crime which probably occured 2 weeks ago . lol, lol, lol Fools.

You are leaving in denial if you believe Emma knows what's happening up north. The lady is like a deck deck. The worst representative we have ever had.

    • DeckDeck -LOL - I can't stop laughing.
Either way Montoute or Prudent would do a better job than aunty Emma.

  5. Tell Emma to keep quiet! She does not have a clue what is going on in her own constituency. All of a sudden she has finally awaken to crime in the north. Poor Jab!
