The main objective of this year’s La Rose festivities is the achievement of a conscious society that believes and is committed to identity, national unity, exercised and maintained by strengthening the concepts of knowledge, belief in common roots, preservation of cultural memory, continuity, survival, and social cohesion.
This year’s events will celebrate the rich heritage of Saint Lucian people and their contributions to the shaping of the Saint Lucian cultural identity. As such, the Cultural Development Foundation and the La Rose Flower Society invites all the residents of Saint Lucia to “Wear a Rose for La Woz/ La Rose” and to participate in these wonderful events and explore the beauty, history, legacy and heritage of the La Rose Flower Festival. The feast day of the La Rose Flower Festival is celebrated every year on August 30th.
