This meeting was to defuse an industrial situation among security guards employed with the company.
As a result of the meeting, the company has agreed to pay overdue overtime compensation in the following manner:
First payment – Thursday, September 5, 2013
Second payment – first week in October 2013; and
Third and final payment – in the first week of November 2013
Since these scheduled dates of payments were agreed by the NWU, a high level of stability in the level of service among the employees on the job has been realized.
The company and the NWU meet subsequently to revisit their industrial protocol to measure its effectiveness and consistency.
