FRC publishes Lucian Kaiso for Carnival

PRESS RELEASE – Since 1990, the Folk Research Centre (FRC) has produced a magazine called “Lucian Kaiso” as part of its contribution to the promotion of calypso as one of the cultural art forms of St. Lucia.

The Magazine which has been popular among carnival enthusiasts in general and calypso lovers in particular is being prepared in time for calypso and soca finals.  This year’s magazine, edited by Kennedy ‘Boots’ Samuel, will contain a number of articles including:

The magazine which is produced in full colour serves as a useful document of St. Lucia’s cultural art forms which can be used by local and overseas researchers for information on our country’s cultural heritage.  The magazine will be available at newsstands in the Boulevard on Saturday and at the Calypso and Soca finals on Saturday and Sunday.
