



Four men who were held for the murder of a British tourist in January appeared before the Second District Court in Vieux Fort for the third time on Friday.
Richie Kern, Kervin Devaux, Fannis Joseph and Jeromine Jones are accused of robbing and killing 62-year-old Roger Pratt, an engineer, who had been on a -round-the-world trip with his wife.
The incident occurred on January 17, 2014 aboard Pratt’s yacht which was moored off the Vieux Fort Coast. Pratt’s wife, 60-year-old Margaret, was also injured during the ordeal.
The four men, according to an article in the Coventry Telegraph, appeared at court on for a sufficiency hearing on Friday. This was aimed at determining whether there is sufficient evidence to commit them to trial. The matter was subsequently adjourned to May 23.
