The finalists of the Saint Lucia Football Association / National Lotteries Southern Zone Under-23 football tournament have been decided, with a champion to be crowned this weekend.
The final will be an all-Vieux-Fort affair as Kein Knights and Biker Boys overcame their respective opponents at the semifinal stage. Knights beat River Roots of Soufriere 4-0, whilst Biker Boys defeated Laborie outfit Pascal Joseph SC 3-1.
Both finalists have featured under-17 Saint Lucia internationals. Noah ‘Lucky” Nicholas, along with Biker Boys teammates Merhan Joseph and Antonius Myers, leads the tournament with four goals. Nyrone Winter is making his mark for Knights, along with Chris Jeffrey.
The final is set for this Saturday, from 4pm at the Dames Playing Field in Vieux-Fort. Preceding the final will be the third-place game between the losing semifinalists from Soufriere and Laborie.
Meanwhile, the long overdue semifinals of the Dr Kenny Anthony Cup will also be played this weekend at Dames. On Sunday from 2pm, Young Roots and Uptown will seek a berth in the final. From 4p.m, Shamballah Shilloh will meet Green Lake.
