PRESS RELEASE – As part of its commitment to giving back to the communities, Flow and its customers were actively engaged in supporting local activities held recently in commemoration of World Cerebral Palsy Day.
World Cerebral Palsy Day is a global innovation project to change the world for people living with cerebral palsy and their families.
Cerebral palsy is caused by damage to the brain usually before, during or shortly after birth, which affects muscles, co-ordination and movement.
Flow was a sponsor of the St. Lucia Cerebral Palsy Association’s Fun Day activities held to commemorate the event. In addition to its contribution to the association, the company’s staff at all of its stores dressed in green in honour of the occasion.
Customers visiting the stores were encouraged to join in by taking photos in an interactive and fun-filled way and sharing them, all in an effort to help raise awareness of the challenges of living with cerebral palsy.
“For all of us at Flow, including our customers, it was a privilege to do our bit in helping to raise awareness of the devastating impact that cerebral palsy can have on families,” said Shermalyn Sidonie-John, Flow St. Lucia Sales, Marketing & Communications Manager. “It gave us the opportunity to further strengthen our connection with the community and reaffirm our commitment to give back in meaningful ways to the people of St. Lucia,” she added.
