(PRESS RELEASE VIA SNO) – In accordance with the Fisheries Act Cap 7.15, the public is reminded of the various Fishery periods:

Closed Lobster Fishery: March 1, 2018 – August 1, 2018

Closed Sea Turtle Fishery: January 1, 2018 – September 30, 2018

Conch Fishery – Open year round (with conditions)

Crayfish Fishery – Extend closed period (Moratorium)

Sea Egg – Fishery opens ONLY when declared by the Fisheries Department

Sea Turtle nesting period : March 1, 2018 – November 30, 2018

Please note there are specific conditions that apply during the open period for each fishery.
