Emergency services received the call around 3 a.m.

Two fire engines – from Castries and Gros Islet – responded.

Fire officials said only the concrete structure of the two-storey building was left standing after the fire was controlled.

Fire officials said the cause of the fire is unknown at this time but investigations continue.

According to the restaurant’s website, Jacques was re-located to Rodney Bay (at the end of Reduit Beach) following a “devastating fire in their previous Vigie Cove location” in August 2011.

“Sadly everything was destroyed,” the website states.
