Contestant #4 Patrica Felix emerged the winner of the Centre for Adolescent Renewal Education (CARE) pageant on Friday, April 19, 2013 at the National Cultural Centre.
The past trainees pageant was one of the activities held by the education institution to mark its 20th anniversary.
Felix, a 23-year-old resident of Jacmel, Anse La Raye, tallied 498 points to win ahead of first runner-up and contestant #6 Krissa Virgil, who garnered 485.5 points; and second runner-up Natasha Laurence (contestant #2) who achieved 434 points.
Virgil also won best talent, Laurence won best interview and best dress, and contestant #1 Marla Joseph won best creative wear.
The main prize for Miss CARE 2013 was a scholarship to Monroe College; for the first runner-up it was a scholarship to Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, and the second runner-up won a LIME-sponsored Blackberry.
All the contestants received tokens appreciation and dinner prizes.
The pageant was held under the theme “Celebrating Achievements, Rewarding Excellence”.
