The media fraternity is mourning the death of former radio personality Andre Vaughn Noel who died on Tuesday.
Noel, who was ailing for some time, reportedly dedicated close to 50 years of his life to the media in St. Lucia. He died in his native Grenada.
Media personality Jerry George said his former colleague had a remarkable memory in recalling events, music, and personalities from past years. He described Noel as a “class act and a gentleman”.
“Vaughn’s signature was not being able to tell the correct time at first take, most of the time even when the clock was right in front of him. Otherwise he was at one with the mic,” George said on his Facebook status.
Allison Kentish, journalist and communications specialist, also paid tribute to Noel on her Facebook page, saying “he was made for the airwaves and he was always calm and soothing”.
