Event to showcase local talent

Event to showcase local talent

Several persons from Mon Repos will be allowed the opportunity to showcase their talent, when the Micoud North Constituency and the Micoud Police Station host a talent show on Saturday, August 1.

A number of activities are planned for that day, which includes: singing, dancing, modeling, acting and poetry reading. Local arts and craft will also be on display at an exhibition.

K.A’s Wholesale Enterprises (One Stop Mini Mart) and Outta Da Box Enterprises, are some of the local businesses that have lend their support to the constituency branch to make the event possible.

Event organizer Kishma Serieux told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) that the constituency has always been a culturally active, sport encouraged and talent overflowing area.

However, Serieux is of the view that these local talents are not given proper recognition.

“Where we can point at our Sessene Descartes and Marie Serieux (may they rest in peace), Mary James, Zephrinus Joseph and Craig Emmanuel? Our talent section is lacking in recognition,” she added.

The event is set to take place from 1:00 p.m. at the Patience Multipurpose Court, Mon Repos.

Tickets cost $5, $10 and VIP $20.
