PRESS RELEASE – Who I am was written by Dan-yelle Ayla Du Bois & St. Lucia reigning groovy monarch Arthur Allain and was produced by Claude Jonas & Francis De Lima.

The video was shot by E-Films, Evolution Entertainment & Wave maker Photography (all young St. Lucian video and photography companies), directed by Dan-yelle Dubois and edited by Pierre Chester of E-Films.

“Who I Am” encompasses what it truly means to be West Indian. The vibrant scenes in the video show the passion and love for culture that we share as a West Indian people.

  1. i love this video when i first heard this on the radio i was like irie that is a nice song but had no idea it was a st lucian song and the video is like wow i love it the quality of singing and video is just sweet this guy is doing big things. just one little thing that got my attention though from overhearing something someone said. and what he said was we do not know our history clearly cause how is it we black people call ourselves west indians when we indeed are decendants from west africa so in truth we are not really west indians we are west africans so to speak and he further went on to say the reason this region is called west indies is because of the indians "caribs and arawaks" which were found in this territory which is the west, by the explorers like Christopher columbus and called them west indians cause they were indians who were found in the west.now that had me thinking cause if we remember the slave trade there were no black people in the caribbean we were brought from africa so how can a black person be called indian and also a west indian
