This development is as a result of successful completion of negotiations between the hotel and the union.
Hotel workers employed with the company will receive a six percent general wage increase spread over a three-year period along with an upward adjustment in service charge distribution. The increase will take effect from January 1, 2013.
The parties have also agreed on a new regime of fringe benefits that cover annual vacation, funeral and sick leave, call out and call back, and transportation allowance to and from work for the bargaining unit.
Stonefield Estate Resort and Spa operates in Soufriere and employs about 40 workers.
