PRESS RELEASE – At the 38th Annual General Meeting held on May 12, 2016 the Elks Credit Union launched its  scholarship programme to the membership.

The scholarship has been designed for children of members of the Credit Union and contributes up to $1,500.00 per School Year for secondary level students. Members whose children are successful in the annual Common Entrance Examinations are invited to apply in house for the Scholarship.  The Credit Union will review the qualifying Scholarship applications and will award two (2) recipients based on grades obtained.

The Scholarship will go towards the cost of the following;

• Tuition Fees
• School Books and Materials (as per book list)
• Uniform Allowance

This is another step in membership empowerment as the Credit Union builds on its theme for 2016- “Maintaining Economic Resilience through Member Empowerment”
