(AVN) – The Minister of Industry and National Production and Vice President of Economy of Venezuela, Tareck El Aissami, denounced in an interview with the Russian channel, Spanish edition RT, that the sanctions imposed by the United States prevent the Government of Venezuela from having the possibility of buying medicines, food and supplies necessary for the development of any country.

In that sense, he stressed that these mechanisms are illegal, arbitrary and violating international law, while affirming that these tasks are pressure and blackmail measures.

The Aissami acknowledged that “this set of criminal actions has caused serious damage and losses to Venezuela.”

“If they want to help us, the best help is for them to lift the sanctions,” said Venezuela’s Vice President of Economy.

Lastly, he asked the International Organization of the United Nations to issue a resolution against the United States to raise this type of abuses and arbitrariness that violate the right of any nation to develop in peace and freedom.
