(SNO) – An earthquake on Monday morning shook sections of Dominica, according to reports.

The quake was reported by Caribbean Online Weather, the Public Seismic Network Inc. Dominica and the UWI Seismic Research Center (UWI-SRC) in Trinidad.

It took place at 8:45 on Monday Morning.

It was reportedly felt on the southern and mid sections of the island.

According to UWI-SRC, the quake measured 3.3 on the Richter Scale at the depth of 15 kilometers.

It is unsure whether it was felt on other islands.

On January 8, a 5.2 quake took place off the southern coast of Dominica and was felt on several islands.

They were the latest in a series of quakes that has shaken the region in recent times.

Experts have warned that they are a reminder that the entire Caribbean is seismically active and residents should always be prepared.
