Drugs intercepted at General Post Office in Antigua

(PRESS RELEASE VIA SNO) – Police Officers from Narcotics and the K-9 Unit while on routine patrol at the General Post Office at about 10:30 am on Tuesday 19th June 2018 intercepted a brown cardboard box containing several boxes of cereals and other dry food items.

The cereal boxes were checked and concealed inside each box were sealed packages each containing plant material resembling the controlled Drug Cannabis, weighing a total of 5.75 pounds with an estimated wholesale value of EC $23,000.00.

Investigations into the matter are still ongoing.
