Drug bust and eradication at San De Fae; Sarrot resident arrested


POLICE PRESS RELEASE –
On Tuesday, 28th October 2014, about 5:55a.m personnel attached to the Drug Squad and Special Services Unit, proceeded on an eradication exercise in the San De Fae, Sarrot area.

The law men arrived on a cannabis plantation which appeared to be 2.5 acres in size, with fully grown cannabis plants.

In a small wooden structure, they encountered an individual who was later identified as Joseph Felix of Sarrot. A search conducted in the structure revealed a quantity of dried plant material suspected to be cannabis.

A total of 3,656 fully grown cannabis plants were eradicated and destroyed.
Joseph Felix was formally arrested and escorted to the Custody Suites in Castries where he is detained. Investigations are ongoing.

  1. Everything else taking so long for them ppl to deal with, but once its a drug bust they could wake up so early to go destroy. Why don't yall hasten other processes as well. When thief break into your home there's this ridiculous process which takes toooo much damn time. The thief having time do how much round d island trips before their lazy ass could get up.

  3. Why is our country still wasting tax payers money destroying cannabis??? Can't they see that the trend is to legalize the natural plant and to encourage the use of the natural resource for manufacturing of paper, cloth, biodegradable plastics and improve the health of the many who suffer from all sorts of ailments. The idiots are burning the new "green gold". Just so stupid!!

  8. Very touchy subject....... law enforcement officers spend more time and energy on destroying cannibas than on crime prevention. .......st.Lucians we should advocate for legalizing the herb.....Ive never smoked a day in my life but I thing its necessary and managable
