Dr. Kentry JnPierre, parliamentary secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industries and Heritage, will be the guest speaker at the Annual General Meeting of the Folk Research Centre (FRC) on Saturday, September 21.
Dr. JnPierre, a former executive director of the FRC, holds responsibility for the creative industries in the ministry.
He will be speaking on the topic “The creative industries and St. Lucian folk culture as a base for its development.”
All members of the 40-year-old institution are invited to attend. Those who would like to become new members are also welcome.
On the agenda are the presentation of annual and auditor’s reports as well as the election of new directors for the next two years.
The meeting will be held at the FRC headquarters at Mount Pleasant, Castries at 10 am.
