PRESS RELEASE – Digicel, Proud Sponsors of West Indies Cricket team treated students and teachers of the Dunnottar School last Thursday September 11th 2014 to a surprise visit.

Four talented cricketers in the person of Kraigg Brathwaite, Darren Bravo, Denesh Ramdin and Jason Holder, took time off their busy schedule to bring smiles to the faces of some excited young fans.  Filled with excitement the students of the Dunnottar School beamed with joy as the crickets made their way into the learning institution.

Digicel’s Marketing Executive Fiona Smith accompanied the players to the special needs school and explained that during the visit the players showed an intense interest in the kids at the school.   Each of the players have a genuine interest and passion for special needs children and jump at any opportunity to Support initiatives that foster that interaction.

The kids of the Dunnator School got the opportunity to have some fun with the professional players.  A friendly game of cricket created an unforgettable experience enabled them to enjoy the common love of the game with their favorite players.

As commented by Digicel’s Head of Marketing, Leslie Collymore, “Digicel is always pleased to support special needs initiatives and to create an environment where our very own West Indies Cricketers can interact with the students and administrators was just as much of a treat for us.  Being able to create memories that will last a lifetime is one of the driving forces that enable Digicel to undertake such initiatives for the special needs students of Dunnottar.
