PRESS RELEASE – Digicel, platinum sponsor of St. Lucia’s Carnival 2014, is elated to be the sponsor of contestant Michelle Vitallis.
The attractive 23-year-old was sashed as ‘Miss Digicel’ at a ceremony held on Monday, June 23 at Cultural Development Foundation (CDF).
This prestigious national queen pageant is expected to celebrate eight extraordinary young ladies – all very talented, poised and graceful – at the National Cultural Centre on Saturday, July 5.
A resident of Goodlands, Castries, Michelle describes herself as humble, trustworthy ambitious and well rooted because of her family who has always been great supporters of her ambitions and encourages her to pursue her dreams. She attributes her self-discipline and self-motivation to her involvement in sports while a student of the St. Joseph’s Convent.
Michelle views Lucian Carnival as a means for St. Lucians coming together to embrace and express our culture with the world. Enjoying the talents and creativity of our people through music, dance and costume-making is part of the excitement of St. Lucian carnival. She believes that it is an excellent avenue for youth development in the creative and cultural arts, through pageantry, revelry and various components of the festival.
Full of potential and hope for the future, Michelle has promised Digicel that she will definitely ‘Be Extraordinary’ and is ready to dazzle the audience as she carries the Digicel brand with pride and joy.
