PRESS RELEASE – One of the most exciting festivals of the world, the Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival will come to an official start when patrons from all over will enjoy a host of regional performances, from Haiti, Jamaica, Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago and St. Lucia, in the Mindoo Phillip Park on April 30, 2014.
The stage is set for the launch of the 23rd Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival and Digicel is very excited to be the proud Platinum sponsors. This prestigious annual event is an open air concert which sets the pace, of what can be experienced during the other community jazz events which are mainstays of festival. The dynamic lineup for Wednesday night’s show is highly anticipated and will have everyone dancing the night away.
At the Mindoo Phillip Park a unique but diverse ‘line-up’ of season artistes performing Dancehall, Power Soca, Groovy and Kompa genres will lead to an entertaining and thrilling experience. As thousands of persons are expected to show up and be part of the official start to jazz in St Lucia the likes of son of the soil Superman HD, Mongstar, Digicel’s very own Ricky T, coupled DYP and Evolucian will be on showcase. Trinidad and Tobago’s Groovy King Kerwin Dubois, Haiti’s Carimi band, Grenada’s Mr. Killa and the incomparable, Jamaican dance hall artiste Popcaan featuring the Ruff Kuff band will start the festival off right.
