The region’s leading telecommunications provider Digicel has joined forces with the Caribbean Golf Association in their exciting participation in a recent golf tournament.

The August 4th – 10th full-filled event was overseen by the Caribbean Golf Association. The OECS has participated in the event for the past 32 years and successfully won the champion’s trophy for the first time last year, when the tournament was hosted in St. Kitts.
This year the OECS came up against teams from the Bahamas, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks & Caicos and the USVI.

Country Manager for Digicel Holly Hughes-McNamara says “like our unwavering commitment to cricket, Digicel remains firmly resolved to lend support to the development of sports in the region in general.” According to her, “Be it at the professional or amateur levels, it is undeniable the role sports play in the development of the social fabric of our societies and Digicel is delighted to facilitate nation building via the advance of sport through direct and tangible sponsorship packages.
