Digicel and LCPL express condolences on Agard’s death

Major sponsor Digicel and the Limacol Caribbean Premiere League (LCPL) have offered words of sympathy to the family and friends of Julian Agard, who died after suffering electrical shock during an LCPL match at the Beausejour Cricket Grounds on August 6, 2013.

According to a release, Agard was a sub-contractor working at the game.

“While we cannot make any further comment until the investigation into the incident is complete, we will do all we can to ensure this is done as quickly as possible,” a Digicel/LCPL “initial” statement states.

“We have sent a message to the family and have offered all possible support to them at this sad time,” it further stated.

  2. Any reason why BCC has not been shutdown as was the case of the small hotel in the south which is still shutdown after a similar accident. Is this double standard or what?

  3. What would be nice of them is to launch an investigation of how something like this could happen at a world class sporting facility. with all this money being made it seems the safety of its staff and patrons won't on their priority list.
