DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know there was a lime oil processing factory located at Stonefield Estate during the early part of the twentieth century?

Oil was obtained by two processes: the first was by rubbing the limes over a rough surface to obtain high quality lime oil from the skin; the other was by crushing and boiling the limes to obtain oil.

Pieces of the old machinery can still be seen at Stonefield Estate.

  1. Don't have to wait on the government. A small group of citizens can unite and make this happen.
