Did you know a system for bringing potable water into Castries was completed and put into  action in 1848?

Did you know in 1861 the population of St. Lucia was 26,674? In 1871 a census showed the population as 31,610 and the 1881 the population was recorded as 38,551.

Did you know on March 17, 1885 a new Windward Islands Government was established?  It comprised St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Grenada and Tobago, with headquarters in Grenada.
