A man who was caught with a loaded firearm on the Desruisseaux playfield earlier this month was offered $7,000 bail when he appeared in court yesterday, Tuesday, Oct. 23.
Nervi Serieux, 21, of Desruisseaux, Micoud was bailed in the sum of $2,000 on possession of firearm and $5,000 on possession of ammunition with cash or a suitable surety.
Conditions of his bail include surrendering his travelling documents, not to leave the State without the court’s permission, and report to the Micoud Police Station every Monday.
He is scheduled to appear in court again in November.
According to police, a Drug Unit team, acting on information, accosted Serieux on the Desruisseaux playfield at about 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20.
A .22 revolver with eight rounds of .22 ammunition were recovered when he was searched.
He was then arrested and charged.
