2014 marks the fifth year of celebration of excellence within St. Lucia’s business community. The Awards reward excellence in various categories and celebrates the best qualities of corporate St. Lucia.
The Business Awards committee continues to seek ways to improve not just the actual Awards Ceremony, but more fundamentally the process of the Awards so that it brings even greater reward to those who participate in them.
One major adjustment to this year celebrations is that the coverage of the Awards was expanded, and public sector agencies have been challenged to participate and make submissions to the Awards in the Ease of Doing Business Section. The introduction of this category is most timely considering St. Lucia’s change in rank for the 2013 World Bank’s Doing Business Report.
The deadline date for submissions to the 2014 St. Lucia Business Awards is exactly four weeks away.
The Awards target all businesses whether large or small regardless of sector. Businesses, especially the small to medium-sized categories, are encouraged to participate by visiting the Chamber’s website at http://www.stluciachamber.org/chamber_business_awards.php or contacting the Secretariat at 452 3165.
The St. Lucia Business Awards will present awards in the following categories:
Prime Ministers Award for Innovation
Award for Service Excellence
Entrepreneur of the Year Award
Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award
Business of the Year Award
Goods Exporter of the Year Award
Service Exporter of the Year Award

Once submitted the short-listed nominees will be announced by the second week of January and the 2014 St. Lucia Business Awards will take place on January 25, 2014.
