De Soca-Lypso Revue announces its 2014 Kweyol Song Competition

PRESS RELEASE – This year, some changes have been made to the 2014 Annou Mangé, Dansé, Chanté Kweyol Song Competition and the competition is open to all genres of music, not just calypso.

The Annou Mangé, Dansé, Chanté Kweyol Song Competition will take place at the National Cultural Center on Friday October 24, 2014.

Registration is now open and Registration Forms are available at the Cultural Development Foundation. There is a small registration fee of EC$20.00.

This is the third year that De Revue will be hosting this event. In the past years, the concentration has been on a kweyol calypso competition.

This year however, the organizers have opted to open up the competition in the hope that it attracts artistes and song writer from around the island.

“The focus this year is not on calypso but rather all genres of music. This is a song competition, not a calypso competition”, notes Gordon Leon, one of the event’s main organizers.

All songwriters, musicians, artistes are invited to be part of this exciting 2014 event. For further information please contact [email protected] or Tel: 719 1254 or 484 1254.
