DASH Independence Colour Run 2020 – Ready, set, go!

(PRESS RELEASE) – DASH Independence Colour Run is out the starting blocks and is leaps and bounds ahead in its preparations for the 6th staging of the powder event.

The DASH team has already opened registrations to all powder fanatics, wanderers and lovers of entertainment parades and synergy, to the most LIVE, fun run event slated for March 1st 2020.

DASH Colour Run St. Lucia stirs up our inner limits with their Hero themed edition set to inspire and encourage fearlessness and confidence in all DASHers mainly our youth using the tagline “It IS In ME”. DASH Inc. officials have expressed, “As much as we have been inspired, and with hopes & dreams to aspire – We Are All HEROES”. Standing firmly behind this theme, DASH Director Robberta Rose said, “Never look down on whatever it is that you do, but always believe that you are here because of purpose, intent and will”. A group of five were appointed “DASH HEROES” who are set to be ambassadors for DASH’s FIVE pillars – youth empowerment, health and wellness, charity, diversity and unity.

One of the newest features added to the DASH 2020 experience is the online pre-registrations that addresses the gap of accessibility to registration sites. DASHers who register online from now until January 31st will receive BONUS items (DASH tote bag, DASH pop socket, DASH face mask) in their packages which is a limited time offer. Through this platform, they have the opportunity to obtain full details from pre-registration package benefits, group offers, and for new comers – everything they need to know about the event. Further details are available on all DASH social media pages.

The DASH experience is not all for the sake of having fun! In addition to celebrating our independence, DASH Independence Colour Run aims to raise funds for Junior Achievement St. Lucia’s Innovation Camp catering to approximately 250 students. The One Day training challenges students from Forms 3 & 4 to find innovative solutions to socio-economic problems. Mrs. Marshall, DASH Director has expressed her appreciation for the program citing the relevance and benefits to the youth saying “Teaching a Junior Achievement program is not only lifelong learning experience to students but also provides volunteers the opportunity to directly contribute to the development of the youth, allowing you to make a positive impact in their life.”

Junior Achievement Worldwide is one of the largest global NGO’s dedicated to addressing fundamental societal and economic challenges of young people by educating and empowering them to transform their future and own their economic standing. Junior Achievement of St. Lucia (JA SLU) was initiated in 1996 as a project of the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture.

Over the last 6 years DASH Inc. has entrenched themselves as a youth focused independence event which celebrates camaraderie and national pride. As such volunteerism has been an integral part of the unfolding of the event as a means to enable and encourage the act of “giving back”. Each year a group of volunteers who have met a set of fixed and unbiased criteria, join in to serve in making the event a successful experience for their fellow DASHers.
