(ACN) – The President of the Council of State and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermúdez, met on Tuesday in Havana with the Prime Minister of Dominica, Roosevelt Skerrit, who is visiting the island.
Both Heads of States exchanged on the good state of relations between both nations and on different issues related to the bilateral and regional agenda.
Prime Minister Skerrit reiterated the gratitude of the people and Government of his country for Cuba’s cooperation, particularly rescue specialists, health professionals, construction workers and experts in the recovery tasks after Hurricane Maria hit that Caribbean island. The Cuban President ratified the island’s commitment to continue supporting Dominica.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and Dominica’s ambassador to the island, Matthew Joseph Walter were also present in the meeting.
