Cuba and the OECS strengthen relations

(PRESS RELEASE) – The Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), held between September 17 and 21, 2018, its visit to Cuba, led by the Director General, His Excellency Dr. Didacus Jules, with the aim of developing relationships in areas of common interest.

The OECS met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, with the Ministry of Tourism and signed Memoranda of Understanding with the Chamber of Commerce, the Group of Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Public Health.

During the visit, the Director General of the OECS placed a floral offering before the monument to the National Hero of Cuba, José Martí.

The strengthening of relations between Cuba and the OECS will contribute to finding joint solutions to regional problems such as climate change and the development challenge.
