PRESS RELEASE – A small entourage is off again to St. Vincent and the Grenadines to lay claim to the coveted title of Miss Carival 2015.
Miss Crystal Octave, first runner up of the National Carnival Queen Pageant 2014 will be accompanied by Mrs. Paula Theophilus, Head Chaperone of the National Carnival Queen Committee on her journey to the competition, which will be held on Friday July 03, 2014.
Miss Octave will represent St. Lucia this year because she falls within the requisite age category for the pageant. She will be sitting in for the reigning queen Ms.Licia Jn. Paul.
The prestigious title has been previously carried by Iva Satney and Roxanne Didier Nicholas in 2010 and 2012 respectively. Spirits and hopes are high that Sunshine, as she is affectionately known, will return the crown to St. Lucia this year.
Miss Octave is a remarkable dancer and will use this talent as her strength during the pageant. In addition to the talent segment she will also compete in the areas of Ambassadorial Wear and Speech, Evening Wear, and Interview.
Furthermore, she will contend against nine other ladies from the islands of Dominica, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Kitts, Antigua, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.
The Carnival Queen Committee and the Carnival Planning Management Agency though in the midst of preparing for the National Carnival Queen Pageant on Saturday July 4th, sincerely wishes Miss Octave the best of luck and hope that she can return home in time with the crown, and, to support the eight young ladies who are each hoping to take home a crown of their own.
