Courts St. Lucia pilots Breakfast Program at the Fond St. Jacques Primary School

Beginning this month, more than thirty boys and girls attending the Fond St. Jacques Primary School will be the recipients of a complete breakfast compliments Courts.

This initiative spearheaded by the Principal and Teachers at the school is one of a few corporate social responsibility ventures being undertaken by the company this year.

The Fond St. Jacques Primary School serves as a primary learning institution for children in and around the small community. Many of the students are from low socio economic household and therefore are unable to afford some of the much required material needed for school.

The responsibility is that of the classroom teacher whose job it is to recognize those students in need of assistance and bring it to the attention of the Principal; Mrs Virgil Mangroo.

A cry for help was petitioned by the Principal to Courts for support at what was becoming an expensive initiative. The company, known for its involvement in the development of St. Lucia’s youth, eagerly agreed to come on board and lend a helping hand.

The Courts team made the highly anticipated trip to the school to present the first of three cheques all equalling EC 2700 on Tuesday, October 08. The trip had as its primary objective to meet and greet the recipients of the breakfast program. Each and every child took it upon themselves to personally thank the Courts OECS PR and Logistics Assistant Britney Jongue who made the presentation to the school on behalf of Courts.

It was truly a remarkable sight to see the look of appreciation on the faces of the students who lives will be forever impacted by this initiative. At Courts, we try our best to reach out to those persons in need whether it is through our weekly donations or the anticipated Courts Big Prize. We just love to give back to those persons who continue to support us on a daily basis.
