Consultancy for detailed designs of Volet Crossing located along the Micoud Highway

(PRESS RELEASE) – The Government of Saint Lucia through the Department of Infrastructure, Ports and Energy has engaged a Consultancy firm Amarna Consult Ltd to undertake detailed designs for the reconstructions of the Volet bridge crossing located along the Micoud Highway.

This consultancy is part of the Disaster Vulnerability Reduction Project (DVRP) and is scheduled to commence on December 04, 2019.

The objective of this consultancy is to prepare final designs for the Volet crossing with the view to strengthen the highway resilience against hydro-meteorological hazards and climate related impacts. The Department of Infrastructure, Ports and Energy (DIPE) is responsible for coordinating and managing the project.

During the execution of this consultancy Amarna Consult Ltd is expected to conduct various surveys (topographical, social and geotechnical), as part of the data collection process for the realization of the assignment. Residents, having been made aware of these activities, are asked to accommodate the team members conducting works especially in instances when they may require access to private properties for the purposes of this assignment

Residence are encouraged to provide full cooperation and support to the consultant’s team.
